Deep Brain Stimulation Support Group
North Shore Private Hospital are hosting a deep Brain Stimulation Support Group on 2 August 2019 at 10.30am. Those that have had DBS surgery as well as those that are considering DBS or require more information on advanced therapies for their Parkinson’s disease are very welcome.
The main speaker will be Sue Williams, Parkinson’s Disease Clinical Support Nurse at Royal North Shore Hospital. Movement Disorder Neurologist Dr Paul Silberstein and Neurosurgeon Dr Raymond Cook will also be in attendance to provide information or answer questions.
Morning tea will be provided and the meeting will run for approximately 1 hour.
We look forward to providing you with an opportunity to hear information from Sue Williams on local Parkinson’s disease services, as well as share personal experiences, ask questions, learn more about PD and DBS, and meet others who have had DBS surgery for their PD.

Parkinson’s Disease Seminar for GPs at Mt Wilga Private Hospital

Movement Disorder Neurologist, Dr Paul Silberstein, will be speaking at a Parkinson’s Disease seminar for GPs at Mt Wilga Private Hospital in Hornsby on 20 August. Dr Simon Chan, the hospital’s Rehabilitation Specialist will also speak. They will discuss diagnosis, management, advanced therapies and rehabilitation for Parkinson’s disease.
